30 day challenge. Day 3

A habit that I wish I didn't have:

I have developed the bad habit of staying up late. Really late. I rarely get to bed before 1 a.m. and sometimes will fall asleep at 4 a.m.  I don't know why I do this to myself but it's been a constant thing for so long, so when I do try and fall asleep around 9 or 10...I can't. It's definitely a bad habit I need to break and it doesn't make it any easier when my husband works graveyard and gets off at 3:30 am. I always want to stay up till he gets home and make sure he's safe. Because of this habit, I get tired more, don't want to get up in the morning and sometimes don't even get things done...which leads me to procrastination - Delaying things off till the next day due to pure LAZINESS!

I wish I didn't have this habit:(

Allenmore Ward Primary Program

Yesterday marked Dreysen's first time being in a primary program and he did such a good job.
His part was "Ou te usita'i ia Iesu Keriso" and he went up in front of the whole ward, by himself and said it so perfect. He was so anxious to get up to the podium that he went up there when it wasn't even his turn lol (from what one of the leaders were telling me.) When drey got his part last month, he struggled trying to pronounce the words. He would say "Ou te utitati ia Iesu teriso" haha He sometimes can't pronounce certain letters like "K" or "S" so I was very proud of him for saying his part so good. I had no doubt in my mind that he wouldn't say it in front of the ward because he's definitely not SHY to do anything. He's just like his dad. Very outgoing and gets along with others well.
As I was sitting in the front row while the primary was getting set up before church started, I looked at Dreysen sitting there patiently waiting and he looked at me, waving his hands saying hi, giving me a thumbs up. I got a little teary eyed, trying to hold my tears in. I was so happy, then again...so sad that he is growing up so fast. It's little moments like this that make me so proud to be a mother of this handsome boy! Anyway, the program was a success. The kids did great on their parts and sang so beautifully. A lot of the little kids had me laughing especially the little girl who sang her part haha It was too funny.

Afterwards, we treated the kids to a buffet and left right after sacrament since the old lady was at home by herself and Lances little cousin and her baby were at the emergency room so we didn't want them waiting any longer for us. Overall, we had a great day! Here are some pictures...

Choices

So, I've been feeling kind of down lately.

Part of it is because I'm bored! I want to start working again. Although I love being a stay at home mom to my kids, It's been 2 years since I've worked and I miss it.

A big part of it is missing my family in Utah. I miss my sisters, being able to see them every week with their kids, my handsome brothers, and my parents. I've never been away from my family for this long.

My boys are the only one's keeping me sane in this State.

I think, however, the biggest part is trying to figure out the future.

There are so many questions flooding my brain right now.

When will I finish school? Should I be working right now for the extra income? Should Lance and I move out of his parents?  Should we be buying a new car right now? Should we be writing our will right now? What if we die?? Should we go back to Utah? Should we do this...should we do that....

It makes it really hard to make a solid decision. We learn that true faith is walking to the edge of the light and a few steps into the dark, but that kind of seems like it comes from a scary movie haha What if there is a bottomless pit just past the shadows? I'd really rather not fall in. I wish that I could have a flashlight to take with me while I'm exercising my faith. Just a little one; I'd even settle for one of those keychain lights!;)

But thats not the way it works. In order for it to be true faith, we must walk into the unknown, with the soft guidance of the Lord gently pushing us into the right direction. I know he wouldn't let me fall into a bottomless pit.

I know a lot of people have been where I am right now: sitting on the couch late at night, listening to slow jams, stomach growling and their brain furiously trying to figure out
What on earth is the next chapter in their life. And I know some people have had even less of a clue that I do, so I'll most likely be ok.

I've just got it in my head that in life there is only one right choice at a time. The truth is, there are several. I just want to pick the RIGHT choice you know? I'm also hoping it will just come to me. Not in an impression, a feeling, or in a dream, but preferably in a handwritten letter (from Heavenly Father if possible haha) telling me exactly what to do and in what order!

Thank goodness I know what is most important in life.
Thank goodness I know that truths that I do.
Thank goodness I have Lance and my 2 beautiful boys.
And thank goodness for my family!

I'd be willing to take any advice anyone has to offer on methods of how to make big choices. I'm just going to put that out there.

Anyway, it's 3:10 a.m. and I think it's time to go to bed;) hehe Night!

We have a new Puppy! His name is...

Zeland Tali Afuvai! haha My one year old has decided he likes to chew and gnaw on everything such as everyone's Pants, an arm, a leg you name it! He chews on it! lol From the remote control to my mother in Laws cell phone! I tell him "SASA" and normally he is pretty good at stopping what he is doing after a few smirks at Mommy and Daddy but not only do we have a little "vacuum" on our hands, he has now turned into a puppy! hehe

Always Smiling:)
Isn't he just the cutest?

Zeland is just full of smiles. He was never one to cry a lot but now that he is getting older and realizes that if he cries, he'll get what he wants....so he cries all the time! He's in that stage where he's attached to his mommy and if he doesn't see me around him, he'll throw a fit.

At the Pyuallup Fair Sept 2010
Sometimes I forget that he is one because he's so small compared to when Drey was one. He still looks like a 10 month old. The doctor said to put more calories into his diet but what more can I do? This boy eats so much! He loves raw tomatoes, cooked cucumbers, bananas, yogurt, chicken, saimini, chicken nuggets, Oatmeal for breakfast and so much more. He eats as if he's a 5 year old! We had hamburgers the other day, and Zeland grabbed a slice of tomatoe and ate the whole thing! haha I'm glad he's a good eater cuz my oldest son is very picky with his foods!

All about Zeland:
1.Still not walking but he loves to climb up things.
2. Since he was little he has always head butted everyone and trust me, it hurts! haha
3. Zee has 8 teeth and has had them since he was about 10 months
4. At his 1st year apt, The doctor asked us if his head has always been that big! haha It's off the charts for his age but oh well, big head...big brains! hehe
5. He loves giving Kisses!
6. He knows how to Nod his head when he doesn't want something.
7. Zee LOVES music and loves to Dance to it. Whenever a song comes on you'll see Zee rockin from side to side. Its the cutest thing:)

Words he can say:
Mama
Dada
Sasa
No
Aua! (spellchk? But its NO, or don't touch in Samoan)

and everything else is just baby talk...goo goo, ga ga. you kno what I'm talking about. haha

Don't Ever Grow Up

From the moment each of my children are born, I am constantly telling them not to grow up. I am always wishing that I could freeze time and keep them just as they are. I have really been wishing that with Dreysen lately. It seem like since Zeland was born, he has grown up sooo much...yeah I know that it's to be expected, but I really can't believe how much Drey has grown up lately.
Dreysen has been my little helper lately! I'll ask him to do something for me and he'll get right to it. Especially helping with his little brother. He's so overprotective over Zee. The other day their cousins were over, Rina and Evalon, and knowing kids...they are always fighting over this and that. As soon as Drey saw one of them try and touch his little brother, he'd tell them to leave my "brodder" (as Drey would pronounce it lol) alone!
Since Zeland is our little "vacuum" and eating everything and anything. If Drey see's Zee eating something, he'll go up to him, squeeze his cheeks, ask him what he's eating and try and take whatever is out of his mouth. Its so funny! Sometimes Zee will bite his fingers and Drey would just grab his hand and "sasa" him! haha

Drey is my first born and I can't believe how much he has grown! Here is a list of Drey's Favorites and some of his moments that I wanted to dot down...
- New favorite saying "OH MY GOODNESS!" I can't help but laugh when he see's a mess on the floor or if Zeland is eating something that he's not supposed to...It's so funny when Drey says that.
-Saimini (spellchk?) I have a picky eater on my hands! All he wants to eat is this!
-He loves going to the Library thats down the street from us, to play on the computers and read books.
-He hates going outside without his Shoes. Sometimes he'll even grab his dads shoes and wear them out haha
-For his Primary samoan part "Ou te usitai ia Iesu Keriso"...So far he has remembered everything but "ia" haha I'm so proud of him and can't wait to see him on White Sunday.
-When brushing his teeth, he now knows that he's not supposed to Swallow the water when rinsing. I just started using regular toothpaste instead of the toddler kind and so far so good!
-Current Favorite Song- "Find your love" by Drake (just the chorus) and "toot it and boot it"
-He is always giving me kisses and saying "i love you mommy" Its so sweet:)
-He hates putting his hair in a ponny tail. Every time I try and attempt to do so...he says "I'm not a girl!" lol
At least he know's he's a boy!
-But..if you ask him if he's a boy...He'll say "I'm da MAN!" lol (something Daddy told him to say haha)
-Loves to Dance and Sing!
-Taking baths
-Loves IRON MAN
-Hooked on TOY STORY 3

The other day we were just watching movies and out of no where he says to me "mommy? I want to go to my other home! I want Nana" I was assuming he meant in UT and I honestly wanted to cry! I'm still missing my family like crazy and I know Drey misses them too.
It seems like yesterday he was born and next year...he'll be starting school! OMG, like I said..I just want to freeze time and keep them just as they are. But life goes on so I will enjoy and cherish these memories with them while they are young:)
