Day 20: If you had 3 wishes, what would they be.

1. Win the Lottery!! haha

2. To be Invisible! How awesome would that be? lol

3. Time Travel:):)

It's been a while...

I have had absolutely no motivation to blog lately. As if life isn't crazy enough, I'm trying my hardest to keep everyone, as in my family...updated with our lives.

We had our first Thanksgiving here in Washington and we ATE, ATE and ate. We had some good stuff and I wish I could say that I helped cooked, but I didn't. Well, I did contribute to our Thanksgiving dinner by buying the ice cream! haha ya know, the easy stuff. All in all, we had a great time. Lance signed up for over time so he left to work at around 3:30 pm and wasn't able to eat dinner with us. He's such a hard working guy and I love him for that and much more.
I missed having my family around. Especially my dads cooking! I had to hold back my tears while talking to them and my poor husband had to deal with me after I got off the phone because I broke down into tears. I'm such a baby! lol I'm the 2nd youngest of 6 so it's been a little hard being away from my parents and siblings.

Anyway, I got hired to work part time for Macy's just for the holidays and out of all days, they start me on BLACK FRIDAY! dun dun Dunnn! haha I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I had no trainings whatsoever but I kept my head high. It didn't go so bad after all. They put me in the women's shoe department but luckily I was doing the cashier part and not having to find shoes for customers. That would of been scary! haha

Overall it was a GREAT week! To top it off...my UTES won against BYU:) What an intense game! I wish I would of had a camera to see our reaction when when they blocked that last kick cuz my husband and I were goin crazy! haha It's funny because my little brother Rex, 2 sisters and their husbands are ALL BYU fans so I enjoyed rubbing the WIN in their face!! bahaha
However, I think I need to write Coach Whittingham and tell him he needs to fire his QB! LOL Kudo's to BYU's QB for doing a great job...I didn't know he was from Washington too!
I hope next year we'll all be able to actually go to the game. That would be fun!

Day 19- Nicknames you have & how or why you have them

**TiLLy**
For as long as I can remember, I've always gone by Tilly and I have no idea how I got that nickname lol I asked my mom one time why they started calling me that and she doesn't have a clue either haha
I dont know how you get "Tilly" out of "Matilda" lol A lot of people don't even know that my real name is Matilda and when they do find out...I always get this statement, "Have you seen the movie Matilda?" lol yes! I have! haha or I get odd reactions since Matilda doesn't really fit me? Anyway, I don't really go by anything us other than "HUN" baby, sugar plum JK! haha from my husband.
Night Bloggers:)

Day 17 - Someone you would want to switch lives with for one day and why

Interesting question. At first I thought about the usual: movie star, rich person etc. but then I think I'd be bummed that I'd have to go back to my regular life. Unless, however I switch lives with Oprah, immediately take all her assets and send it to my bank account! haha Ok I'm dreaming lol but I think I'm going to take a slightly different approach to it. I would choose to spend a day as my husband, Lance. It would be quite interesting to see things from a males perspective. While we've been together for about four years, I know that I am anything but perfect. So maybe if I see, how Lance see's me...I could change a lot of how I do, or say things. I would love to know how he sees me, our life and our sons and everything from his point of view. That might be quite an eye opener!

Catching up

So things have been a bit crazy for me this past week, but I don't really want to go into details. I'm not sure if I mentioned in other posts but I got called to be the Young Women Secretary in our ward and I was stoked! I know its just the "secretary" but I was excited to be around the girls. It makes me miss my younger days when I was in the youth at Midvalley ward in Utah since I didn't really get to finish, or lets say "graduate" lol from the YW's. When I got pregnant, I couldn't be in the youth anymore, and it was understandable. I went straight to Relief Society and could no longer participate in any kind of youth activities. I was surprised when I came to the ward here in Washington to see some of the youth girls that have kids...and still are in the youth. It's just different, because in UT, once you get pregnant if your in the youth, you have to start going to Relief Society lol

Anyway, So the YW are doing dances for their Thanksgiving talent show and dinner and each class had to do a dance. The laurels are doing Tahitian, Miamaids: Hawaiian and Beehives: Tongan. With already 2 weeks into practice, the miamaids still didn't have a dance so Nessa asked me if I could come up with something. I'm not much of a dancer, so I looked up some dances on youtube, learned it in one night, and taught it to the girls the next day. It was so last minute but they are doing awesome and we have one more practice till the show. I wish I could take credit for coming up with the dance but oh well! haha I'm glad I could help out and I can't wait to share my ideas with other activities.

The kids are growing up too fast. Today, for the first time...Dreysen stayed in Primary and went to class without having me there with him. He kept singing the "hello" song when he came home and I couldn't help but laugh at him. He is a fast learner when it comes to music and thats what I love about him. He definitely gets it from my side of the family! haha ;)
Zeland on the other hand is a handful. While Dreysend is my little "singer"...Zee is my "dancer" which he gets it from his daddy..and uncle Stephen lol When Drey sings, Zee will be there dancing! Its so cute. He's so independent and always wants to do things on his own. I'll try and feed him and he'll throw a fit because he wants to feed him self and I always catch him in his own little corner playing with toys by himself. He's such a handful and he is STILL not walking at 15 months lol He'll be ready soon, I just know it. He is however, standing up on his own...

Day 16: Something you could live without.

I love my cable television but I'm sure I could live without it. The TV is my best friend! lol It makes my children happy whenever they get to watch their favorite shows and I blame myself for Dreysens lack of vocabulary. He's been watching tv since he was about 8 months and now, he sort of has trouble with his speech. Trust me, this boy talks A LOT...but he can't talk clearly! lol I took him for a check up last month and his Pediatrician said that if he's still talking the same when he turns 4, she recommends taking him to a speech therapist. So I've been more strict with him about watching tv or even playing video games with his uncles and bought some flash cards that will hopefully help him progress. Last year my mom got that "Your Baby Can Read" stuff and it honestly worked for a day or 2 for Drey. It was all stacked in the box and I came home one day to all the cards on the floor, most of it was ripped up and the dvd's were everywhere. When I finally put everything together, I was missing a lot of stuff, plus most of it...Drey ruined. I was so mad because I wanted to use it for Zeland but anyway did you know...
  • -Children who consistently spend more than 4 hours per day watching TV are more likely to be OVERWEIGHT?
-TV characters often depict risky behaviors, such as smoking and drinking, and also reinforce gender - role and racial  stereotypes

- Kids who view violent acts are more likely to show aggressive behavior but also fear that the world is scary and that something bad will happen to them.
